about

Based freely on an idea from 'The Solitaire Mystery'

lyrics

The joker's on the run
and him reaching for the sun
did make the court cry out
'How may he dare? That's doubt!'

So now the joker smiles no more
but laughing by the shore and in the spray
he stands and hoists his sail
and veils his grin, it's lovely sin

Poseidons creatures squeak and sing
The octopus wore eight all golden rings
The joker broods and whistles a song
His brains work hard and out comes a drone

But slightly occurs an idea to him:
'The workers are drones, the joker's the queen.'
And all of their questions, he'll answer them so:
'Oh, I am your answer, now enjoy the show!'

And floating along he hauls something up
A joke ever green and hopeful as sin:
'We live in a world in a paper cup!'
And no one shall ever forget, who has seen that

Poseidons creatures squeak and sing
The octopus wore eight all golden rings
The joker broods and whistles a song
His brains work hard and out comes a drone

[Instrumental Solo]

But, alas! He was drifting too far to the edge
and fell into nothing from the arms of existence
So nothing that ever had crossed his mind
will he ever be able to leave behind

The joker's no more on the run
for he has turned into the sun
His last joke made the court grow still
Isn't this life quite fun?
